How long does the process take?
Whether you own or finance your vehicle, we can usually have a cheque ready the same day.
What if I still owe money on my car?
At Progressive Auto Sales, we deal with most lender and have access to lien payouts on demand. We take care of managing your lien payout. We then determine what you owe against what your vehicle is worth. If you owe less than it's worth, we payout the lender and then give the remaining amount directly to you!
What if I still owe more money that my car is worth?
If you owe more money that it is worth, you would make the additional payment to us and we would payout the whole amount to the lender.
What if I'm in a lease?
We work with the dealership that you are leasing through to come up with a lease buyout plan for you. This may come at an additional cost from the originating dealership but that is somewhat normal and usually not much in the grand scheme of the values we are working with. Because you don't own a leased vehicle, there are additional steps required to transfer the vehicle's ownership.
Do you work with Estate sales?
Yes, we deal with both estate sales as well as situations where the seller has a power of attorney taking care of their assets.
How long is the appraisal offer valid for?
We typically allow 7 days for an appraisal number to stand. The current market can shift quickly. After the 7 days, should you then choose to sell your vehicle, we would simply re-appraise it.
